Preparation
Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
- Allow new plaster to dry for 7 days, then seal them before using the Anti Mould Paint.
- Remove any mould with . Once the mould has been removed wipe down the surface with a damp clean cloth to remove any residual dirt and grime..
- Sand any flaking paint so you have a smooth surface ready for painting, do not sand any mould as you risk spreading the spores.
Application
We recommend performing a test on the area to be painted to ensure compatibility, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the packaging.
- Make sure the room is above 10 °C and open doors and windows for extra ventilation.
- Throughly stir the paint to ensure a smooth consistency.
- Apply using a brush or roller.
- Apply the first coat and allow to dry for four hours.
- Apply a second coat, if you can still see colour through the paint after 4 hours apply further coats until the colour is no longer visible.
Do not paint over the finished surface with any other emulsions as this will stop Ronseal's Anti Mould Paint from working.
